What is Ayurveda? Commonly referred to as the lifestyle science of Yoga, Ayurveda is the world's oldest healing system still practiced today. It was developed in congruence with yoga and designed to be practiced alongside it. Both classic yoga and ayurveda look to the whole human being, which is not only a body, but mind and soul. Both address our needs from physical health and wellbeing to the unfoldment of our higher consciousness.
Ayurveda guides you into making simple diet and lifestyle choices based on your dosha (constitution) or body type. Your dosha is how the 5 elements live in you. It gives us insight into how the elements relate to your unique qualities, characteristics and tendencies.
This workshop series will give you practical insight into the best foods and lifestyle habits that have the biggest impact on your health and quality of life. You will learn the basic principles to help calm any imbalances you are experiencing, decreasing inflammation and pain, clearing digestive discomfort, supporting better sleep and a calmer mind…whatever you need to maintain optimal health and step into your full potential.
